Chicago author and Pulitzer Prize nominated playwright Tia Ja’nae has just been added to the line up as a featured author at NoirCon 2022. The Ghosts On The Block Never Sleep author also has a debut new feature in the legendary NoirCon program which features the best writers of noir.
NoirCon 2022 will take place from 10/21 to 10/23, and is reserved exclusively for registered industry personnel as well as fans of all genres of noir. After a four year absence, this year’s NoirCon will be exclusively virtual. Media will be hands-on with attendees from around the world.
Tia Ja’nae will be among other authors celebrating noir in a mixture of live and pre-recorded events, including panel discussions, award ceremonies, author talks, art exhibitions, movie screenings, and much more.
The complete programming schedule is available at https://www.noircon.com.
NoirCon 2022 is operated by Lou Boxer, one of the event’s co-founders and the man behind the scenes in Philadelphia that is bringing the conference back after hiatus. According to sources, this year’s NoirCon will be dedicated to the late Deen Kogan, one of the co-founders and the former proprietor of the Society Hill Playhouse who passed away in 2018.
This is Tia Ja’nae’s first appearance at NoirCon. According to sources close to the author, she plans on discussing the controversy surrounding the release of her first novel, her tumultuous relationship with Amazon, and the state of independent crime literature.
